Yes John, we have seen this problem. Usually the wiper motor has been sitting in water because the drains are clogged with crud. You will probably have to repace the circuit board in the motor assy. Be sure to check the three drains under the motor before putting it back together. At each oil change we clean out the drain by reaching under the motor and squeezing the udders.

Yes I have the same problem, and was wondering if it is hard to locate the drain plugs (3) on the wiper motor? It rained a lot yesterday and when I turn off wipers they go almost all the way in the finish mode, then hesitates a few seconds, and then try and wipe, but it only wipes about 4 inches,,,this continues until I turn off vehicle. I hope I can find the drains OK.

The udders feel like they are full of crud. Do you just pull them out to clean them, are they easy to get back in?? Thanks, B/G
Just yank them off the bottom of the well. They pop back in the holes just as easy as they pop out. I check mine everytime I wash the car. ZJust stick your hand in the hole and squeeze them. if there hard, there plugged.
I have cleaned out the utters which had a lot of debris clogging them up.... in hopes of allowing the components in the Wiper Motor to air dry. It has been a couple of days, and this morning on the way to work the wipers came on all by themselves, only for one swipe across the windshield.
How many days should I anticipate it taking to dry the cuircuit board out, in hopes this wiper issue to cease?
I hope the board hasn't shorted out!
Is there anything else I should try at this point?
