no problems. Now they have version 2 ........
Lg cams are track tested and Comp Cams grinds them. Do a search, lots of ls6 motors make 430 plus just with cam kit, headers.Stock heads. Still lovin mine.
I have the G5X3 112lsa on a A4 to boot and it's awesome. Sounds like something like a 224/228 112lsa is what your looking for though. You'll get lope and good power across the power band.
think i should go with straight from comp ?or,lg, or texas speed, ?i have heard good with tsp on ls1 tech like what u responders have said, thanks alot

I currently run a "Cam Motion" custom ground 232/236/114 with .600 lift in my 99 MN6. The driveability is fine. A little feathering of the throttle is sometimes needed when coming to a stop. My wife and I drive from NYC to NH every two months and the car performs and drives very well. I'm even getting around 23 mpg's, with a little horse play on the Mass Pike.
I have a custom ground cam 228/228/112 .5695 lift that I was running in the car and was going to reuse with the new build but decided to go bigger. This cam drove like stock in the car FYI. The 112 gets up and goes a bit lower than the 114 but I built the car for both 1/4 and road racing this time around.
If your interested in the cam, I have it here at the house somewhere in a box, with all the stats from the machine shop. It's been chemically cleaned and spec was done by "Cam Motion" in Baton Rouge LA, and its ready for install.I also have the dyno sheet on hand. With the 228/228/112, the car made 390rwhp with 376rwtq, with BBk shorties and Stage 1 LS1 heads. I'll sell it for $175 plus shipping.
PM me if your interested.

FWIW, I was in the same boat as you and I went with a 228/232 cam with 580ish lift, 113 LSA. I knew it was on the edge of "streetable" but I was afraid of going too small at the time. Based on what everyone was saying at the time, bigger was better and many had wished they'd gone bigger. My cam is streetable, but is no sleeper.
If I had it to do again I'd probably go 220 or 224 114-115 LSA range to keep the more stock driveability and lower powerband.
I do most of my driving between 1000 and 3000 rpms, with a few spirited runs to 5500 thrown in. The powerband of my cam is 2500+, and really doesn't run too smooth below 1500.
I'd have probably given up 10-20 peak hp by going smaller. It's not enough to make me want to do it over, but if I knew what I know now, I'd have gone a smidge smaller.
