Default 1997 P0102 no clear answer

have a 1997 showing a P0102 maf circuit low input. Idle is nuts car falls flat on it face when accelerating.

Has aftermarket maf
Ground and power inputs are good.
Yellow output to ecm wire is showing only. 600 - .680 volts.
Could not check frequency coming out of maf on same wire.
Grounds for the ecm are ok
no acid on the harness problem

What do you guys think about it?

I have a stock maf im going to try in the morning

This should fix it.
Make sure you remove the battery cables to reset everything.

The after-market MAF is most likely the problem. Without extensive "tuning" of the PCM to match it, the MAF is reporting incorrect air mass readings .... which leads to poor idle, poor acceleration ..... and often surging while trying to maintain a fixed speed.

Take the after market MAF and use it as a paper weight .... that's all they are good for ......

C4forlife

I had a Granitelli MAF with high flow MAF ends on my 98. I had ZERO issues with the MAF,,,it threw ZERO DTCs with it and I actually had a SOTP performance increase. So,,,,all aftermarket MAFs are not bad. My PCM was never tuned. Im very sure people have had issues but MAF tuning should correct that issue.

If your having MAF issues,,,make sure the MAF connector is in good shape the wires are NOT broken inside the connector and the "FEMALE " pins in the connector actually make proper connection with the MALE pins inside the MAF.

Default found it

found the issue the other day. Turns out when the motor was rebuilt by previous owner the wiring was routed incorrectly around the right side exhaust pinched and burned the crap out of the wiring. All fixed up now. Initially after the repair threw a few codes that didnt even have anything to do with the repair but after clearing once no problem. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

Default weird result

now the weirdest thing. It shows that its running lean across the board on both banks and a couple of other weird things that dont make sense. Intake came off on in order to reach the damaged wiring so probaly should check that out first.
