Default Squeaking

Lately every time i go over a speed bump or hit any sort of dip in the road etc. the car makes a squeaking noise. I've notice my shocks are somewhat looser than they probably should be as well. Is there a way to stop that noise and also tighten the shock?

Thanks,

Is it from the rear, sounds like a dang bird in the trunk/hatch area? If so I'm told it is the sway bar bushing that need to be lubed.. I have to get under there and try this myself to see if it actually removes the percieved wildlife from my trunk

Yes, it sounds something like that, but it also comes from the front as well. I just raised the car this past weekend (it was down to bushings in the front and to 3 threads in the back and that was too low for me now...so i added about 7/16 to both front and back). Could i have done something to cause this ?

I have the same problem with the squeaking noise in the rear. I'm thinking sway bar bushings are the problem.

Did some more searching and think my next step will be replacing the sway bar bushings.

Thanks,
If the shock rubber bushings are loose they will sqeek like the dickens. I have the same issue and was about to see if I could squit some grease in there, also the sway bar bushings can always use some lube.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I raelly need to get the car up and lube the sway bar bushings and see how that does. If not I guess I'll revert to replacing them as well... would be nice to actually isolate the noise and not waste a bunch of $$$ on chasing stuff.

Replaced my sway bar bushing today but have not had chance to take it for a ride yet. I will let you know if the new bushings helped after I take it for a spin.

I found my bird in the trunk... turned out to be a broken exhaust hanger. Odd that it doesnt rattle but just squeeks.. food for thought for you guys anyways.

Took the car for a ride and still have the creaking sound when I brake and the car comes to a stop, so I will keep searching.

I think it is the A-arm bushings that need the lube if you have taken care of the swaybar bushings.

Just installed new Bilsteins and am getting crazy squeaking from the rear two. I dont think its the sway bar because it didnt do it until the install. I may have left the rubber bushings too loose on the shocks. Is it safe to use Deep Creep and/WD-40 on rubber bushings???

I found some play in my drivers side wheel, looks like I may have a outer tie rod going bad. Not sure if that would make a creaking sound or not. I plan on replacing both outer tie rods and will see if the creaking goes away.
