I don't think anyone here hates your guts. I "on my part" was just trying to help you know what options that you have and what removing CAT will net you. If your doing a purpose built car for what ever reason and decide that going cat-less is what you want, and support future mods,,,, hell, go for it. I have NUMEROUS close friends that are in various stages of illegality! Thats their decission and how they want to drive their cars.

There are TOO many post on this forum where people think that they can just gather up a bunch of heavily advertised parts and do all the bolt on HP gimmicks that are out there and come out with a 700HP When it doesn't work, they wonder why. A lot of us here only try to help people make the educated decisions from our expierences.

I agree that the post got a little heated but, when you add coal to the fire, some people come with gasoline. Its the nature of the beast.

Good luck on your mods and go expierence one of those HPDE events.

Various stages of illegality....I like that.

I guess in the eyes of the EPA...there is little distinction made between high-flow cats, and no cats at all. All offenders are simply lumped into the 100% illegal category. Pretty simple really.

So..now the perplexing moral question...are people illegally doing a "good" thing vastly superior to people illegally doing a "bad" thing?

That is a very good question. The answer is: most do what they KNOW they can get away with for the moment. It is starting to get harder and harder to get around the Clean Air Act. There are larger problems in the world, but that is another debate......
