finished my install. went extremely smooth actually. Took about 12 hours by myself. 2001 zo6 completely stock
LG Streets, Off road x pipe, and b&b bullets.
my only complaint is how far the tips stick out in the back. anyone who is getting bullets please search for pics because i deffinately don't like it and wasn't expecting it.
also for the people who are reading about how its "too loud" forget that. its loud don't get me wrong, but its not too loud. my 97 z28 with longtubes, off road y pipe and borla was quite a bit louder than my zo6. in the end i'm glad i went with the bullets because i wanted something loud and anything else would have been too quiet. anyone who says its too loud must be a "stereotype" and NO OFFENSE the 65 yr old corvette driver.
anyways here is a video, as soon as i took it i realized my camera sucks so i will take some more today!
I like it. If you think the tips stick out too long try this:
You mentioned having the off-road pipes which are basically tubes in place of cats? You can take them to a shop and shorten them up a bit if you need to.
My exhaust sticks out a little bit too but I have cats on to avoid smelling like gasoline when I'm done riding with the top off. I can't cut mine so I just used a rubber mallet and tapped all the pipes in closer together. Worked like a charm.

if i take the pipe any closer to the front of the car, they will be rubbing where it goes over the rear axel. thats why they stick out so far.
1. Have your tips cut down with a dremel. Just draw a line all the way around and take your time. Then file them. OR bring to a muffler shop and have them do it.
AND/OR
2. Either once you have the pipes cut down you can add new tips over the pipes and welded in place. You might end up better then you think. Your pipes right now seem pretty plain jane and basic, maybe some nice new rolled edged tips are in your future.
CAR SOUNDS GREAT DUDE!
I have LG streets with Corsa Tourings.
OH let us know if you run into throwing any codes. It usually happens after the first 100 miles of driving.
i did throw codes for not having my rear o2's plugged in (which i got tuned out yesterday) and i was getting slow response codes on my front o2's. because the the front o2's are moved further back they take longer to warm up and it throws a slow response code. I had that set up by the tuner to not throw a light.
I did have an issue with the pipes rubbing when I shortened it up. They were making contact with the transmission pan and actually caused it to start leaking. I had to replace my transmission gasket and have the pipes bent slightly away from the pan. All is well now.
You may have to get used to your new look or you can cut them as suggested by the other members. Cutting my tips on Borla Stingers is a definate no go and the same goes for any finished tips. You should be good to go if you want to perform surgery on yours.
it sounds like some of you guys think the b & b tips are junk. I can't say i love them but they are finished chrome on the inside and outside, and are thick, and have a rolled edge (i guess that's how i'd describe it)
