GM Parts Gurus...
Wanting to know how muc LS6 Heads and the Hot Cam Cost, I ran a search on "LS6" at
http://www.paceparts.com.
For the heads it returned the following...
PN 12560801
Gen III 2001 LS6 Cylinder Head, 63CC Combustion Chamber head with D-shaped exhaust ports.
$661/Each Bare
PN 12564825
2002 LS6 Cylinder Head: <<No Description>>
$614/Each Bare
If I want the LS6 heads that come on Z06 Vettes, which is it?

pace is good. You may want to try this guy:
Shaun (valvegod@aol.com)
(248) 276-0483
(248) 496-7887
he probably can get you the info and parts you want for great prices.

Re: GM Parts Gurus... (Jay Fisher)
I believe the bare heads for 2001 and 2002 should be the same. But the assembled head would be different due to the differance in spring rate and the lighter-weight, sodium-filled valves.
Someone can correct me if i am wrong.

Pace is showing different part numbers and prices for the 01 and 02 LS6 heads. The 02 heads are less.

'01 & '02 LS6 heads are identical.......the only difference between the two are the springs and longer sodium/potassium filled valve stems.

Sorry, but, Why are there 2 part numbers for bare LS6 castings then?
I'm not talking about the valves and springs.

Re: GM Parts Gurus... (Closer_2001)
Probably due to the valve seats since the '02 has different springs, because past that everything else is identical.
FYI:
http://www.gmpartsdirect.com has the '02 heads for $534.60 each and '01 heads for $620.78 each.
