Soon I will be installing my ported heads and cam, simple question,in the valley pan there are two knock sensors.....Is it ok to remove these when I install my mods?Im under the impression that the dic will throw codes though, any experiences anybody want to share? Are they needed after a good tune with upgrades?

First, yes, removing them will throw codes and set the MIL on .... (P0327 and P0332).
Second, why get rid of them ??? They protect your engine. An example ..... you get your PCM tuned to run PERFECTLY on 93 octane fuel .... no knock. What happens if you're out late one night and when you pull in to get fuel you discover the station (the only one open for miles around) only has 89 octane available ...... with the knock sensors ... no big deal ..... throw in a few gallons of 89 octane and drive until you are able to refuel with 93 octane. Without the knock sensors the PCM will not be able to sense the knock .... you'll be driving around with an engine that knocks louder than your knees would if your wife pulled a pair of panties out of your jacket pocket and asked "who's are these ????"
I'd leave them alone (the knock sensors that is )

Why in the hell you you want to REMOVE THEM???? WEIGHT?
There a critical part of engine protection. If something should happen mechanically or electrically that would cause KNOCK, the sensors would help protect the engine. They work well!
if you are replacing them sure... There are three different types of them (that I know of) so it would be a good idea to find out which ones you have now "before" trying to find the right ones just at the tyime your ready to try the intake or something, the difference's are the connector types. With me one store had one and another store the another, this was (of course) AFTER finding out that I originally purchased (from the dealer), the wrong ones.
