I just bought my c5 a few days ago. And I'm having those problems that seems to be infamous with our vettes. It randomly wont start. And I have to play around with turning the ignition on till it starts. Its not the engine having a problem. But Its one of those common reasons I saw while searching. What is the most inexpensive way to find out whats causing this? Or what am I looking at to have someone find out whats causing it? Anyone in newark Delaware area want to help? Any feedback is appreciated. God bless.

Not sure why you think this problem is common. I rarely hear of it. You need to describe exactly what happens when you turn the key. There are several things that could cause a random no start problem including the ignition key or the electrical contacts in the ignition lock itself. Have you tried your second key? If it is a PASS Key issue (either the key or the contacts in the lock) and the car doesn't start when you first turn the key you will have to wait a minimum of 3 minutes before trying to turn the key again or else you reset the 3 minute timer to a full 3 minutes.
I turn the key, I hear a click coming from the passenger feet. It did it tonight and wouldnt start for an hour. the worst it has ever been. The engine doesnt turn over or anything. Its like it doesnt even get to that step. It just makes a light clicking sound by the where the fuses are on the passengers side. This sucks.
I was wondering if there was anyone in the Newark Delaware area or within 50 miles that wouldn't mind helping me get to the bottom of this c5 no start issue. I'm off on Friday and Ill come to you. If we can get the problem fixed I will throw you a few dollars. I need someone that is techy with these issues and I will drive to you. Thank you!
Bill will lead you through it, but he'll need more info.
1. Do the dash lights come on when the key is on?
2. Do they blank out when trying to start?
3. Are you sure you're depressing the clutch ALL THE WAY DOWN?
4. Is your battery in good condition and cables tight?
5. When you do get it to start, are you doing anything different like giggling the key, rocking the shifter, etc.?
I took it a local shop. Tested the battery. The voltage was good, but the other reading was half of what it should of been. Replaced my batt, she fires up like new. The dealership that I bought the car is reimbursing me for the cost. Thank you for all your help. I will call Bill and thank him as well, he was more than willing to help! I love this forum and I've only been on here a week. Thank you everyone!
