Just got my 2001 Vette Convertible on Monday, and am still waiting for the manual to arrive. Got caught in the rain this morning and my passenger side carpet got all wet. I did a search and found how to check and clean the udders, but am wondering how hard is it to remove the carpet to let it dry? Is it really involved or fairly simple?
Thanks for any help you can give-
Bob
Hello,
I just changed out my carpet changing color and interior. Removing the carpet is fairly simple you just have to remove the seat or seats, and possibly the door trim. It took me about 20 min to remove all the carpet from my 99 vert. Jason
The entire interior trim removal is all quite simple. The carpet removal will take you 30 min. Remove the seats, Remove the sill plate cover and just lift the carpet out. It is tucked under the other interior parts. While its wet, purchase some carpet cleaner and spray it on the carpet. I use a wet and dry vac and suck all the water out of it. Once its as dry as you can get it, put it some where it will dry.
While its out,,hose the car down and pin point where the water is coming in. I have a leak fix stickey. Check it out and see if it helps.
