What sounds are normal?
I was just curious because I am trying to get to know my corvette still and I don't know what sounds are normal and what is a problem.
So for the guys who have had Z's for a while which sounds are sounds you can expect to hear in the car?

Dude, no offense but what in the world makes you think sounds/noises in a vette are any different than the sounds of another car?
If it sounds broken......the model isn't going to matter. A broken car is a broken car.
Other than the typical voices saying "get out"?
Okay, here is one, the lifters/ push rods will make you hear a ticking noise under the hood, like sewing machine. Even stock the noise is apparent.

hmmm, let's see, noises, nice rumble from the exhaust, possible loud tire noise from the gy runflats, if you have them, intake sounds when you press slightly hard on that peddle on the right, in my case, all over classic rock on the ipod...

Nathan,
The Corvette does have its own set of normal sounds. Your car should of came with a video that talks about some of these different sounds. I also believe there is info in your owner's manual. Have you checked these?
Enjoy your new Vette!

Long tube headers and SLP Loudmouths. Don't hear no other noises.
