after I changed my clutch I am getiing a anoying squeal or squeak around shift aera. "I removed the shift boot to verify where noise is comming from". It also makes the squeal noise if I go over a bump on the road. If I pull the shifter handle over to the Left the squeal goes away. please help.

Is your cat missing?? Sorry, I couldn't help myself!
Can you supply more information? Clutch pedal pushed in make any difference? Is it just when you are moving or all the time? How hard do you have to pull on the shifter to make it stop, and is it a stock shifter?
lol about cat. Its moore of a squeak than an squeal , and it happens as soon as I start the car. In can even here it while the engine is starting up. I replaced my B&M shifter with the stock shifter and no help. the pressure I am applying to the shifter is moderate and to the left .That takes the noise away. the clutch pedal has no effect. It is also very noticable when I go over a bump in the road.
As I’m sure you are well aware of, cyberspace noise troubleshooting leaves a lot to be desired, but my guess would be one of the exhaust system hangers or one of the exhaust joints. Putting pressure on the shifter could move the engine just enough to stop the exhaust pipe or hanger from rubbing where it shouldn't be. I would suggest getting the car on a host and lifting it so you can see the underside with it running. Push on the exhaust and see if this causes the noise to change or go away. Then zero in on the source.
Its probably the slave cylinder to the clutch and its bearing.
The likely hood of it being the throughout bearing is slim. Putting a force into the shifter would not change the alignment of any of the clutch components like he has pointed out. Along with the application of the clutch pedal makes no difference in the sound like you would with a bad throughout bearing, just my humble opinion. See his post below.

def not the bearing . its got to be a exhust hangar or something rubbing near the shifter cut out hole. I will put the car on a lift tomorrow and let you guys now what I find . Thanks!
Sure hope so otherwise you would have to pull it all out again. Yeah, if the shifter is causing a squeal, then its probably not the throwout bearing. Have you checked your transmission fluid?
lifted car on a 2 post lift and could not find squeek. I guess with the weight of the car off the wheels there is more clearance. "no squeek"
I am going to have to find a ramp type lift to find squeek. I will post findings.
