Default Backwards rotors?

I just replaced the stock brake rotors on my '02 Z06 with GM drilled and slotted ones that I obtained from a Supporting Vendor. I also installed new Hawk street pads at the same time. So far, everything is working great but I noticed the pitch of the slots and holes are backwards from other Vettes I've seen. I've been told the slots and holes need to "face forward" in order to work properly. Thing is each rotor was marked L or R and were installed correctly according to the label. Are they wrong?

Here's a pic of the front left wheel.

Not necessarily, some brands are slotted reversed, go by the labels.

The slot direction is meaningless, which way are the internal veins pointing?

You mean the vanes between the inner and outer sections of the rotors?

Good question - not sure I can tell without pulling a wheel though.

YES. The veins should be pointing backwards on the TOP of the rotor.

Just stick your finger in there. You may be able to tell which way they are pointing without pulling the wheels off.

Well, I was able to reach through and feel the vanes. They do appear to be pointing towards the rear of the car on the top of the rotor.

So I guess I'm good to go, thanks!
