You will have to have the rear of the car pretty high inorder to snake it over the axle. if you have access to a lift, I recommend you use that. I think I read that you need like 39" of clearance.

It helps a LOT if you drop the inner (cross member mounted) sway bar mounts. I didn't drop mine right away and wrestled with it for 20 min. trying to get the pipe up and over Dropped the bar mounts and the pipes almost fell out.This is on a M6 tranny,,don't know about the A4!!
