Too early to tell. Due to weather, I only drove the car a few miles after I changed it. I'm also aware that a lot of times people feel a difference because they want to. Let me drive it some this weekend (weather permitting) and get a better feel for it.
How hard is it to change the trans fluid on these cars? If it's the same as any other standard car, please tell me I'm dumb, but I've never worked on the Vette before. Also, if anyone could tell me how much fluid I'd need, it would be appreciated. I figure I'll change it while I'm putting the eradispeeds on this weekend. :D
Draining is easy, just remember when you pull the plug that it is ATF fluid, and comes out really fast - be prepared.
Filling is a slight pain. I used a pump from an auto parts store. None of them would screw onto the top of the Red Line, so I just held it in place and pumped it. I'm sure there are other more elaborate systems, but I figure it will only get changed once every couple of years. The whole job takes about 30 minutes, even if you've never done it before. Buy the way, mine held 3.5 quarts. Capacity is 4.1, but from what I've read, nobody gets even a full 4 in.

Mine shifted way smoother immediately after changing, no perceived improvement here, definite improvement.
I still have this on my to do list, but UPS just brought me a Cross Bar yesterday and Brand X just brought me a Power Duct. That should keep me busy tomorrow.

Keep in mind I just put a ripper shifter in the day before, and my transmission only has about 700 miles on it, so I have a lot going on at the same time.
C4C5Specialist posted recently on the other forum that tranny fluid should not be changed out for the first 5k to let the unit wear-in and synch cones seat. I will be changing mine out with REDLINE D4 ATF next weekend when the Z will be at 10k.

I've been using Red Line for several months now too and I also felt a difference in smoothness. Mine was like Jim, it took a little time before I started noticing.

I changed mine at 600 miles. I found that the "wear in" was apparent in the drained oil. It is easy enough to change that I plan on doing it annually.
