Dreaded EBCM problem finnally hits!
Codes for the EBCM kept coming on and I kept clearing them. THEN something really strange happened. Going in reverse my brake(s) locked up on me! Shifted into 1st and all went well. Did it again (went into reverse) and within 10 feet brakes locked up. Took it into the Stealership and yes it is the EBCM they tell me. One code they told me was C1214. I have an aftermarket service contract so I tell them just fix it. They replaced the EBCM with a brand new one and say come and pick her up. I look at the bill...WOW $1813.86!!!! Now I did not pay this of course (just ded. plus the tax), but once again they prove their name, STEALERSHIP! I'm writing this to warn all of the problem that the failure of the EBCM can do. Be careful when these codes come up on the DIC. My brakes locked up going in reverse, they could of easily of done this going foward on a highway!
