My driver's side daytime running light is out however the bulb is good. I'm guessing the relay is still good because the rears are blinking (rapidly) Has anyone had an issue with a bad socket? Bad wire? Any suggestions or advice as to how to proceed? Thanks in advance.
My left front goes out about once a year. Take it out of the socket, rough it up with some sandpaper and put it back in with dielectric gook from GM. For some reason it gets water in there and "rusts" in the socket. That should take care of it. Good luck!
If the rear is blinking rapidly, either the front has a bad bulb or a bad bulb connection. How do you know the bulb is good unless you pulled it out? Now I'm not positive but most likely the bulb grounds go through the ground pack(s) at the right forward frame rail on top next to the hood riser. This is the right side. The left side may or may not go through the left frame rail ground pack, I'm truly not sure.

That probably means you both have problems with the housings. You might want to pull the light units and check if you have any cracks in the casing. Its a well known problem caused by the heat from the DRLs.
