Are you parking the car anywhere close to the old wheels and tires that you took off the car when you installed the new ones?

Far enough that it will cause that problem. Of course I don't know how far it is to upstairs!

From your profile, it looks like you have a 98 and a 99. You have to use TPS in those cars, you can not program it out like the 2001 to 2004 models can. You can hit your DIC reset, but that is about all you can do. If you do have an 02, then you can program out the TPS. Not sure how to do that, but it can be done. As a safety feature, you should consider buying a set of TPS and installing them.

Theres a company that makes a special valve stem that has a unique holder on the inside of the rim that the OEM TPS mounts to. The sensor fits in a ring and a set screw clamps it in permentaly. If you purchased that valve sten and mounted it in your rims, those rims would retain the TPS with out issue. Today,,,theres ZERO reason not to keep your OEM sensors.
