Default Air Intake Help??

Would this help over the stock intake or is it just a waste of money? Thanks in advance for your help.

More than likely it will beathe easier than a stock box, but unless you can find proof that its filtering ability is very good, I'd stay away. My Halltech Stinger filters extramely well and I have no doubt that a Blackwings does well, but if you do run a little-known brand of filter, be sure to have your oil analyzed afterward.

A lot of owners elect to use the split air intakes. It's probably more for form than function.
If that's your choice, make sure the filters (made off shore?) are of good quality to keep the junk out of your motor. Can they be cleaned and reused or are they throw away? Are they a cotton gauze or synthetic material? Do they require an application of oil? Is there any data to reflect their ability to breath and filter? How much do you trust products made in Taiwan these days?
Some have bought cheap split air intakes and stepped up to K&N or S&B cone filters (both are oiled cotton gauze and US made).
By the time you do that, you've probably exceeded what a "Blackwing" filter would cost you in good used condition. You can frequently find those in the CF classifieds.
It's the owners car to do with as the owner pleases...

Do a search on dual cone intakes, you'll find a ton of info/opinions.
