I have the Spec Stage III. Have about 7 runs at the track and others on the highway. Maybe around 7-10k miles on the clutch. Raced a fast butt Supra yesterday and the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. I have seen others have this problem. I can not believe I paid for a stage III clutch and an install from hell to have these problems. Any suggestions. I am going to talk to my performance shop and see if they can help me out here. What do you think Spec should do?
I went through a lot of clutch problems in the past year and one of them was very similar to this when I had a z06 clutch in the car. The pedal would stick to the ground under hard acceleration. I switched out all the hydraulics and it did not improve anything.
I would say the problem is the pressure plate. I believe the STAR clutches all use a modified stock pressure plate. I know of quite a few STAR nightmares just like this. I hear the Cartek Pressure Plate works pretty good with the STAR disks. That might be a consideration.
