I have no problem using the "regular" filter. So long as you are not going for the extended oil change intervals, I believe the standard filter is fine. That being said, I still use the UPF when I do the change. Some people call me ****. I think I'm just an ****.

cisco,

If you can't find the UPF44 (which are getting rare these days) I'd go with the Mobil 1.

I went to the gmpartsdirect and was going to place an order for 6 filters, till I noticed that the shipping and handling charges would be $57.70. :U

I hope that is the total not just the shipping and handling. If that's your total it is about right. $10 per filter delivered to your door. I'm not sure how much better the UPF filters are but I bought 2 cases just for insurance. :seeya

Nope, I just checked it and it comes out to $100 for 6 filters. Think I will stick with Mobil-1, thank you very much

The C5 Registry Newsletter reports that the UPF44 is not currently in production, but should be back on the market by the first part of 2002.

I can't believe $100.00 for 6 filters from GM parts direct! Wow, they must personally deliver each and every order!

The http://www.gmpartsdirect.com shipping on the oil filters was in error and has been corrected. I contacted them to see what the problem was with the shipping charge.
Go to http://www.gmpartsdirect.com and enter the part no. 25329389 for the details on cost. $49/six pak

Go to this Forum Mall to LAPD. They have the UPF44 Delco oil filters in stock. Go to the group purchase section. I think they are advertised there. :chevy :chevy :chevy :chevy :chevy :chevy :chevy

That's who I would recommend, I bought 2 cases (12) when I heard they were going away and my cost to my door was $103.
