Default Radiator shroud install?

I just installed a Callaway Intake yeaterday. As many know I had to remove the radiator shroud. If you've done this you know what I'm going to ask. How do you reinsert the press fit pin with the metal retainers? I'm referring to the two metal retainers at the mid level of the shroad, not the seven fasteners at the bottom of the shroud.

When I was removing the shroad I simply pulled the press fit fasteners off the A/C condenser. They didn't break. I don't see how anyone could remove the metal retainers without taking the front end off? I tried to take the retainers off with the shroud off and could remove them.

So how have some of you put the mid level press fit fasteners and retainers back on the condenser?

Thanks.

They screw back in once you have them out. I never re-installed the metal nuts as I remove this item once in a while to clean the radiator, etc. and they are a pain. The pins help align during assembly.

The shroud should press back over the plastic pins and stay in place without the metal retainers. If it doesn't stay in place then buy some new plastic pins. You need to hold the shroud against the A/C condenser to keep air from leaking past the shroud instead of going through the condenser and radiator.

Just for clarification the pins are still in the shroud but off the condenser. I never could get them off the shroud. So I just pulled and they pulled put out of the holes of mounting the shroud sits on.

The shroud is not fastened to the condenser at this point. But to tell you the truth I don't think it's going anywhere.

I guess everyone must have the same problem, I thought it was just me. After I got the shroud out with the pins still in it, I separated the metal piece from the plastic pin. Then you can screw the pin back into the condensor while the shroud is out. After you get the shroud reinstalled you can push the metal clip back over the pin, but smaller hands would really help.
