Default It's not fast enough

Below is a short list of what I can remember I have done, might be more. The point is that in an A4 vert, it just isn't enough. Without wanting to go nitrous or supercharger, what else can be done to go faster?

I am in So Cal, so smog is an issue.

TEA Stage II heads, FAST 90/90, 224/226 114 lsa, ASP u/d pulley, LG Streets LT Headers w/ hi flow cats, Hooker exhaust, BBK CAI, 3:42 rear diff.

415rwhp / 380rwt

Nope, will that make a big difference? It was something I was looking into.

415 rwhp sounds very fast to me Instead of adding power adders, I know some people who reduce the vehicel weight to get more performance. ex. Lightweight Racing bucket seats only weigh about 16 pounds. Those could take lots of weight off your ride, which would make it go faster
I'm sure others are better qualified to advice you on specific performance upgrades.

You are already a smog issue and illegal in respects to most mods on your engine visually and probably tailpipe as well so why worry about adding more illegal items now? Better flowing heads perhaps, more compression, stroker crank or a stouter cam.
Thats what I like about blowers. I'm 100% California smog legal visually and tailpipe with 600 whp.

OH YEA!!!
With your mods, time wise, probably 3-5 tenths in quarter mile; drivability (read; butt dyno) like a different car
My first mods were 3.42 gears and stall and it was literally a different car. GET THE TC

You're in Oxnard...ever heard of A&A Corvette? http://www.aacorvette.com/

Looks like you already have 3.42 gears...so yes a converter will help a lot. I am partial to Yank...give them a call. http://www.converter.cc/converters/street/GM/2/

Also not sure how you intend to use the car...street, track, or a little of both, but without getting to much into it...as you make more power and beat on the car more you would be wise to invest in making sure the trans and the diff are strong. In most cases they will die before your motor will.

This is also all assuming that your tune is fully dialed in and making full use of all your mods.

Cheers

I agree above with the TC.. makes a BIG difference. But, you will want more....You live in CA, so I would seriously consider this deal: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-f...or-4500-a.html

If you're not satisfied with the power you're putting down now, I would Throw some boost into the mix and you should be happy for quit some time!!

Only fail on visual, I passed super clean on the sniffer a month ago.

I know Andy quite well

I will only use it for street, they won't let me on the track without a roll bar and I don't want one. Charlie and Andy did the tune so I know it is done right.

Looks like a TC is the way to go. Excellent link to Yank, thank you. So now the big question is what stall for my set up?

Thanks for all the help and tips guys.

Oh one more question, can anyone tell me approx what this car would run at the track? Since it is a vert and they won't let me run it, I am just curious what it might run?

I wouldn't go less then a 3200 stall. I run a Yank SS3600 and it's been working great for me. With the mentioned mods you have done to the car and with an addition of a TC, I would say you should have a mid/high 11 sec capable car. I say capable because there are many factors such as driver, traction etc...

I hate it when that happens. I had a vehicle that passed sniffer but not visual and got referred to the referee station. After a 30 minute argument with them that a catch can was not illegal or that it had to be CA.R.B. certified and what difference does it make if it passes sniffer they signed it off.
A complete crock of BS having to pass a visual if you pass the sniffer test.
California is so screwed up its nice to see their budget 28 billion in deficit. Just shows what a bunch of total idiots they have running the state government.
