Windshield Cracks
Greetings all,
I'm just curious how many peoples windshields seem to crack a lot. I had a crack 6 months ago, and of course today I get another. Are these windshields too thin, or do I just have bad luck?

The windshield in the ZO6 is thinner in order to shed weight. Haven't noticed anything on the Forum that would indicate problems with cracking.
Did your glass crack in approximately the same area both times?

No. Got hit w/ small rocks both times, in different places. I figure I just have bad luck. :)

Yup...
I have had two cracks on my Y2K FRC from rocks. Since I have a hud it costs a fortune to replace. Never had a windshield that crack this easy. Lukily I put off replacing the windshield so I only have to buy one replacement for two rocks. :)

I've noticed a windshield cracking problem. Every stone that hits mine immediately causes a crack, and this is on a coupe with the HUD (slightly different windshield shape.)

Already called them. They're comin to my work tomorrow to see if it can be patched. If not, I've gotta pay my deductible and they'll replace it. For the amount of $$ I give them every year. They should do the replacement for free. :)
