Noisey Fuel Pump

Does any one know what too do about a noisey Fuel Pump? Any info will be highley appreicaited

Not too many options here. Keeping the tank full will dampen the noise. Other than that, you either live with it, or replace it.

What year car is it. Early C5 (97 and 98 ) had very noisey pumps and the later C5s were quieter.

I had replaced mine with a racetronix pump (for performance) about 1 1/2 years ago. (The stock one never made enough noise to hear)
About a month ago, while on a trip, it started getting VERY noisy, so I posted the problem, and the feedback here, and on LS1 tech was that the pump was starting to go. (I do know it made virtually NO noise the in the past) Now I'm paranoid to drive it so I am replacing the pump

What does it sound like?

What does this noise sound like? I ask only because my 2004 started with a vibratory sound coming from the right rear or cargo area and I wonder if that is what I am hearing. The noise increases at +40 mph. The sound I hear sounds like a bicycle with a card stuck between the spokes and the forks (in case you remember doing this as a kid). Thanks.
