DTE Differential Fluid Help
I have a DTE 4:10 rear and my car is in the local Chevy dealer for GMPP warranty work. The real axle seal is being replaced and I will need to put Redline 75-140w fluid back in but my DTE instructions do not say how much friction modifier to use or what kind. It simply says to use there premixed Redline 75-140 and I need the fluid quickly for the dealer. The dealer is waiting for my response and I can't reach DTE on a Saturday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dude, you have the fluid or you need it?
If you have it but not mixed by DTE, its 2 bottles of the GM additive.
If you want to use Redline fluid with it premixed in, I can overnight you 2 or even 4 bottles.. Done by DTE, ready to go.

Don't use the GM additive, you have to use the Redline limited slip additive. Redline is an ester based oil and the LSA is different than GM.
If they are only changing the axle seal, they don't even need to drain it or they only need to remove a small amount.

Your DTE IRS Differential requires 2 bottles of Redline 75/140w synthetic lubricant to fill it and you'll also need to add 1 oz. of Redline synthetic LSA to each bottle to bring it up to a 13% blend needed to support the HD preload springs of our own design we use in our clutch packs.
FYI~ Do NOT ever use the GM LSA additive with any aftermarket Redline synthetic lubricants, as it will not remain in suspension w/ the host lubricant to remain blended correctly, which effectively starves the clutches of the proper lubricity properties they need to survive in a HP environment...leading to premature clutch pack failure.
The new 2009 differential care/maintainance instructions that we send with each differential shipment will include this information and you can purchase the necessary lube either from us, Jeg's, Summit Racing or anyone else that carriers this type of axle lubricant.
