It's a straight ratio calculation for different gear sets 4.10's are a 20% increase from 3.42's while 3.90's are a 14% increase.
Here are the FDR's for both the MN6 and M12 C5 tranny setups with different diff gearing.
In 4th gear (1:1) at, say, 3000 rpm with the 3.42's, the rear wheels (stock tires) will be turning at ~877 rpm. That would be reduced to 769 rpm with a 3.90 gear and 732 with a 4.10 gear. This translates to roughly 66mph with 3.42's, 58mh with 3.90's and 55mph with 4.10's. I calculated using 25.5" dia. tires.
Here's a table showing rpm's at varios speeds for different C5 trannies and diff gears.
There are a few folks who've run an A4 with 4.10s. I've never driven one so can't say how it feels. Honestly can't imagine an A4 geared that low. The 3.42's I put in the wife's A4 are already aggressive for the highway.
Btw - why are you interested in 2003 Z06 gearing when you are planning for an A4?

the car is a 2003 z06 so i used it as a reference. it has an a4 in it with a 28" tall tire for the track. i was fishing around to see if i could pick up more going from a 3.90 to a 4.10
OK - then what you really need is the A4 version of the above FDR's. I recalculated using those:
This does not change the speeds I listed for the 1:1 scenario as all of them are equivalent at 1:1. The differences you'll see are in the lower tranny gears. The A4 spacing is much wider so I would expect a dramatic rpm swing between 1st and 2nd. The difference is less between 2nd and 3rd. I'd venture that choice of TC would be important with such low gearing. My MN6 with 4.10's revs quickly as I accelerate so I'd bet 1st gear in a 4.10 A4 would be very quick.
