Default Tail lights out only

I've gone thru a lot of threads and I'm still stumped. My tail lites are out but the turn signals, hazard lites and brake lites are working. I see where dash and tail lites out at the same time is often the head light switch assembly being bad. But I only have a problem with the tail lites.

Here is the schematic for C5 exterior lights:

Since only my tail lights are out and not the dash as well then it appears the head light switch is good. I'm not certain of that although it appears to be so according to how the contacts work on the disassembled head light switch below (the one on the steering column for the lites and turn signals). BTW, thanks to MIKER for the excellent work on that particular problem and I borrowed your pic of the disassembled head lite switch. And here's a link to his thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...f-replace.html :

Here are the C5 ground points while we're looking at pics:

If you're having electrical problems BTW, I suggest reading this thread by Bill Curlee http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...tion-long.html.

I don't know how to isolate the power to the rear tail lites only although it seems clear the BCM is getting voltage to the rear.

Could I have a problem in the connector at the rear before the line splits to the four lites? Is there a pin just for the tail lites?

I have voltage to the fuse and the fuse at 6 in the I/PFB (short for interior passenger floor board...took me awhile to figure that out) is good (a 10).

I tried to meter the bulb connector but I don't think I'm getting a good ground. But there has to be power there if the turn signals, hazard lites and brake lites are working.

The bulbs are good but one has some haze so we're off to get some 3057s (the type of bulb in the rear lites) and I'm going to replace them all.

Any help appreciated.

We're looking at that tomorrow. We ran out of time today. I screwed around too much studying schematics and not actually working.

I'll have your answer tomorrow. The policeman told me I had license lamps and backups but I need to look. Son here so I'll let you know tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply.

No. I pulled the right side lamp and was about to check it then decided I'd better find out which fuse went with the license lamps and side markers. No center lite either.

Can't tell from the lid on the fuse box.

This isn't my cup of tea.
