Default FE1 Suspension Lowering Question

I need to know if it is safe to lower the Base RPO FE1 suspension, is it a "myth" that damage may occur if tampering with the ride height? I heard there may if you had F45 cause i believe it uses the "base" springs opposed to the Z51 which does not. If so what can i do to correct it? Should i go all out with shock simulaters and Manual Adjusting shocks or is there another setup that will work? Any Answers ,comments or Questions would be GREATLY Apprieciated. Thanks!

I have had my 99 with F45 lowered on stock bolts for almost nine years now without issue.

Tip - when lowering any C5 make sure you maintain the stock stance provided naturally by having 17 inch wheels up front and 18s in the rear.

If you lower too much in the rear you will get a very lousy ride.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Happy Holidays.

I replaced the F45 with C6 Z06 shocks C5Z sway bars and metal end links.. I guess a corvette could ride better but not by much... non run flat tires and I have no complaints.. I never lowered the car in fact it rides a smidge higher with the new shocks.. I just never cared for changing the geometry of the car.. runs and rides superlatively what a car
