Corvette Underdrive Pulley QUESTION
my corvette underive pully has been shaking really bad and i think i need to change it, i just wondering why is it that the pulley got messed up to begin with? and should i just replace it with a stock pulley or a performance one cause they are a bit pricey. does anyone have any suggestions where i could find one for a good price? or is it something else that is making the pulley shake?

While it does perform the function of a pulley for accessories, it is also a harmonic damper for the crankshaft. If you can't afford a good aftermarket unit, then get one from GM but this is something that if bad can lead to much more expensive issues. For example, if it separates and starts walking forward on the crank it will damage the steering rack. For a GM part, contact one of the forum vendors for the best price and realize this is a fairly big job to replace requiring some special tools. Its not hard but it is also something you won't be able to do in the driveway in a couple of hours with a few tools.
