Re: ATI Supercharger first test done!!! (TorchedTexan)
Dang this makes me consider a life of chrime!
Anyone want to drive the getaway Vette? I will be the bag man... who's got the weapons?!?!?
I'll drive. I'm almost done with the NOS install, that will definitely help. :D But I will need to get a new paint job first. Yellow is a little too hard to blend in with traffic.
Re: ATI Supercharger first test done!!! (ElDiablo)
Still no "official" response that I have seen on the installed price. I see the price of the s/c alone, but not for the whole sha-bang. If it is around $7k like some have said, where do we get in line =]

It is simple not many kit installed yet, so they probely have no idea how much to charge for the installation.
Mine price can't be compared to anything, I adding to much extra.
My guessings for the install is 1000+ USD

I believe someone earlier asked this question and I haven't heard a complete answer yet. If someone has already had a H/C job done and other modifications like mine listed in Sig. what addional HP can be expected above and beyond a stock engine? I think alot of people on this forum have mods similar to mine and are wondering the same thing. :seeya

Re: ATI Supercharger first test done!!! (Austrian Vette)
What's critical for the H&C guys is compression ratio. If CR is too high, cannot do a blower. I'm thinking about taking the nitrous off my car and doing SC instead but I think I'd need new pistons. What a pain. May just put FI and the SC on my 69 Camaro instead. See what it can do with 502 cu inches. :D
I'm putting an ATI Procharger on my Tahoe this week at House of Speed in Houston. Will let you know how it goes.
"What's critical for the H&C guys is compression ratio"
I do not know, but ATI has a lower 5-PSI Package as well.
Mabye this could be a perfect solution on milder H/C packages?
Everything is not about Blower pressure, but a hight wide curve.

Well you can bet I will find out. Hard to imagine you sitting inside today instead of calling Ernie and getting him to open up so you can hold hands with your car! :D
You're out there on the leading edge at the moment. Keep us informed!

The line forms right behind me! BPP has two more kits in stock. I claimed one and my bro-in-law with a 2002 ZO6 has the other. Ernie said he has more on the way. He also has a new guy in his shop who seems pretty smart and did a real clean install of the SC w/ pod gauges in Richard's car. The kit is priced at $6K right now as from what I understand to be introductory pricing. If the old laws of supply and demand kick in.......the price would obviously increase when ATI realizes they are selling them faster than they can be made. I convinced a friend who was off to buy a new Turbo Carrera today to consider this option. Come on, sick horsepower, active handleing, heads up display, etc. and he could do HRE's, eradispeeds, custom paint, Corsa's and any other mod he could imagine and still be into it for 35-40 grand less than the Carrea which would get whooped in EVERY performance test. Well he is holding off until he can get a drive in mine after the kit is in and will decide.

To go with 5psi, do you have to get an entirely different package, or is it just a pully swap or something similar? It would be nice to start out with 5psi, then move up to 7psi after getting accustomed to the extra power, and getting over the fear of breaking the engine (or other parts)..
Would a 2001 A4 (with the 'torque management' I've seen talked about) and 3.15s be able to handle this kit at 5psi without modification? What about 7psi?

Can you imagine what kind of numbers are available with your 7.0 liter motor. Sure, it's not my money, and easy to say;but, if I were you, I'd dump the nitrous and go with the SC - power all the time and no bottles to worry about!
Re: ATI Supercharger first test done!!! (levrac68)
Need some input ! called ATI to find out if they had a kit for the Z06 couldnt get past the receptionist to talk to a tech. But according to her none are offerd but only for the c-5. Vortec also has none. Carroll has one for big bucks. & looks to be top quality, any comments from knowledgeable sources about this ! Before I take the plunge :smash:
Re: ATI Supercharger first test done!!! (Brutus0725)
Where can I get one? And, does it fit a Z06? Sign me up..... I have been waiting for something like this. Good work   :smash:
We have them, & yes it'll fit the Z06. Give me a call when you get a chance. As Snowman stated, we are installing one on his Tahoe this week, as well as a '00 Mustang. We are working on a '97 C5 that we are building a 408 Stroker with the ATI procharger. Should be Nuts!
