2001 cvt ,i have looked ,dont see any threads to help me,ill be drivng down the road after about 20 miles on cruise and it will disengage, ill just press the criuse button and it works again, and does it again,,any advise..thanks
Do you see any messages on the DIC like Active Handling or Traction Control on? Activation of either will cause the cruise to stop. You could also check the clutch (if you have one) and brake pedal switchs for proper operation and adjustment.
i wanted to thank you and mike for helping me on my ebcm broblem,,turns out i had two of these outfits work on and return my module saying its good,,they were not, absfixers finally sent me another one and that fixed it,,,,,now this criuse controll thing is as i said but no indication on the dash, now i didnt look for anytrouble codes because i didnt get any thing on the dash
Some EBTCM have a defective microprocessor and the EBTCM applies the brakes in a modulated application when the car is driving straight down the road. My 02 ZO6 EBTCM had that issue along with erroring out at 42 MPH.
Do you feel any braking just before the cruise trips off?
Also check your brake peddle switches to make sure that there not causing the Cruise to trip off.
