drag pack and abs ?
currently running 185x55x17 up front dia 26.0 cir 81.7 and 255x50x16 rear dia 26.1 cir 82. would like to go with 275x40x17 rear tire dia 25.7 cir 81 will change in rear tire dia and cir be to extreme and cause abs warnings. looking to get a little more bite and torque with the wider tire while sacrificing a little side wall but do not want braking equalization problems. does anybody out there run this 17 17 tire combo.cars is a-4 with 3600 stall and 3.73's so i dont think sidewall height should be issue other than abs concern

Not drag racing, but I've run 275/315 setup on ZR-1 repos, which has a shorter rear tire than the front. Never had any problems with ABS, and I get into it a lot under hard braking.
Run with traction control OFF (which I'm assuming you're doing already) and you shouldn't have any problems.
