Install was easy!, although I can't tell you how it performs while driving ( I woke up to 7 inches of snow yesterday ), I can tell you the shift feels precise, throw is shorter, quality shows with this piece! I will post again once driven :D I had a much harder time installing the NGK TR55's! :seeya
I am sure when you drive it you will agree with me this thing rocks.....No snow here....oh let me go drive to the beautiful beach now(sorry low hit...lowering head in shame) :cool: :cheers:
Many people seem to comment that the Ripper is harder to shift due to the short throw, any comments on this yet? Also, the Kirban has a smaller ball and doesn't fit too well into hole and rattles (at least this is what I have read), any comments on the Hurst? Jury is still out which way I am going to go and I'm looking for information on the Hurst and the Pro 5.0.
I will post feedback as soon as roads clear up here (snow & salt covered ), might be a couple of weeks, I can say that the factory bushing fit the ball very snug, just like the factory unit. I feel no slop as in the factory unit between shifts, (I have a long driveway, for miminal testing ), so far it feels very good, horefully some of our southern or western friends can tell us what they have experienced.
I'm eager to hear feedback from those that have tried several of these aftermarket shifters. I have a ripper (just put in last weekend) and I LOVE the damn thing. Who could think that shifting could be so much fun!!

Re: Hurst Shifter Installed! (luvinc5)
Hopefully I'll be getting mine on Tuesday and will see if I can get it installed same day. Back in '95 I put a Hurst in my '95 Firebird Formula 6 Spd.. Easy install then and quality was good so I'm thinking should be no probs. here either. I'll post a blurb when I get it going. :D :D
A while back, I researched shifters and installed a Hurst in my son's '87 Mustang. The Hurst shifter was easy to install, adjust and shifting was effortless. Hurst has been making shifters for a LONG time, so I will more than likely install one in my '99 FRC.
Hey! Hey! The Mustang was a long time ago and besides, it was cheap... er, inexpensive! Besides;
People that live in grass houses shouldn't stow thrones. (There's a story there... I thinK!)
