Is this the low battery problem??
One time everything on the dash died while driving down the road (gauges, lights, everything), only to come back on a minute later.
I have read here that a low or aging battery can cause these kinds of episodes, so what do you think? I have purchased a battery tender, and I intend to try it out tonight to see if it helps. Thanks for any input.

I'm gonna try to pull the door panel off to check the connections once the weather warms up a bit.

Measure your cranking voltage right at the battery terminals with a volt meter. Also check your battery cable connections at both ends. Make sure the positive cable is tightly connected at the starter.
You could also have the battery load tested at most auto parts stores.

Read and post your DTCs The BCM controls all that stuff through the IPC. If the BCM is wet or damp or has been wet or damp, it will cause some really weird issues. You could also have a serial data buss issue.
Grab the rubber accordion tube that runs between the door and door frame. Feel for the two wiring harnesses in the tube. Grip the harness's inside the tube and shake the heck out of them and see if conditions change.

Here is a list of things fixed:
1. Looks like whoever had the car before me had a new BCM installed but never had it programmed properly. Now my telescopic wheel, power seats, etc work perfect. I didn't even know the seat was supposed to roll back when you turned the car off, but now it does! The headlights even come on automatically at night. Didn't do that before.
2. He cleaned some corrosion off the battery terminals and around the underside of the battery. After hearing some of your posts, definitely wanted to do that.
3. Replaced the center console.
4. Had the transmission fluid flushed and replaced (64,000 miles).
5. He noticed the controls on the drivers door not working right, so he pulled the door panel off and found the male/female connectors in bad shape. Was able to splice and replace those. Now memory seats work. Just thought I didn't know how to set 'em...
Haven't seen the lights on the dash stay on, so hopefully that problem is solved! So for a newbie, I feel a lot better about my purchase, but somewhat baffled how someone would not keep up the maintenance on such a fine car.
The last thing is.... gotta get a new brake fluid reservoir. This one has a slight leak around the seam. THEN maybe I can get some performance mods going!!

Thanks for listening.
