First thing is first. You need to get a handle on the battery drain problem. You need to perform an audit of the electrical system using a DMM. Do you have access to a DMM and a service manual?

A weak/dying battery causes lots of "problems" for the C5 electronics. Get the drain resolved first and then see what, if any, problems occur.

Sounds like you need to take it to a qualified mechanic. Autozone may be able to evaluate the charging system, but they do not have the ability(or time) to evaluate a current draw problem that is draining your battery.
