Default Who makes stroker kits?

Hello all, I got a friend that wants to do a stroker kit on his car and he wants to find out who makes stroker kits for the LS1. He wants to do it himself as he's been building engines for close to 20 years. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

ARE (Agostino Racing Engines) can assemble a Stroker package for your friend with all the parts he would need to build whichever motor he chooses. There are quite a few details that would need to be discussed to get exact pricing but I promise our pricing is very competitive. Drop me an email if you are interested.

Thanks for the response Matt. I'll be emailing you and copying my friend. However he likes to build the motors himself, maybe you guys can work something out where he gets the parts from you or something.

Thanks!

Anyone else know of any stroker kits?

LG Motorsports has a kit for ~$4,000. There are a few other places that sell them but LG is the cheapest I've seen

Thanks for the info Jerry. Do they have a website? Do you know what displacement it can take a stock LS1 block up to?

Check the links on the right side of the page. LGmotorsports is there. I think a lot of those links have stroker packages. Biggest I have seen is a 432 from ARE. I think someone (can't remember who) actually got 454 ci out of an LS1.

The biggest stroker is around 390 ci. If you combine a stroker with a resleeved block for a larger bore, then you get the 400+ ci motors.

Checkout Lunati, they sell a kit that will give you a 383 cu. inch motor for $3650.00. The kit has all forged steel parts (crank, rods and pistons). You can order it with pistons that are as much as .060 over.

I receieved the email. I will await any questions your friend may have. If he is interested in just the Lunati Stroker kit that everyone mentions, I can get him very competitive pricing on that. If he is interested in going with a big cube bored stroker, I can also get him the resleeved block so he can go up to a 4.100 bore.

Thanks to everyone that replied.

Matt, he wants a big cube motor, so he wants to resleeve it as well.

The most popular stroker crank for the LS1 is the Lunati produced 4.000" crank used in the 382 CID motors. They also have a 4.125" crank for a all stroke 396 CID motor or for a 427 CID (4.125" stroke X 4.000" bore.) A 4.250" Lunati crank can be had which was used in the mentioned 454 CID motor, but was custom done. Scat and Cola have also recently announced the availability of a 4.000" crank at more competitive price levels than the Lunati pieces. Hope that helps.
