Default TCS Bugging Out

For some reason whenever I make a tight turn out of my garage or just about anywhere, it feels like one of the rear tires is skipping like mini wheel hop and TCS turns on. It happens at slow speeds and has me worried. Anyone know what this could be?

Sounds like your limited slip isn't slipping.

Maybe it needs it's oil changed and some new limited slip additive put in.

My old car had a locking diff and did the same thing.

First thing to do is read and post the DTCs. That will tell you if anything is malfunctioning. If you have ZERO DTCs the rearend fluid could be causing the issue.

Bill, not DTC and I had the rear fluid changed with the additive.

What type additive did you use? Sometimes you need to add some more additaive. Have you tried some tight figure eights in the lefta and right directions in an open parking lot?? Sometimes that helps.

the gm ones. dealer told me this was a common problem with the 05's but he did it for me for free when i was experiencing light clunking from the rear when reversing. this problem is different in sound and it sets of tcs. its really annoying. it seems as if when im making the tight turn, the computer senses that one tire is spinning at a slow rate than the other (outside tire:inside tire) and engages TCS.

If your seeing the TC or AH active message, there could be an electrical issue causing the issue. One is the two accelerometers could be damaged or bad. The other is that Steering wheel position sensor could be bad. Any one of the three could be bad. Start with the accelerometers. One is under the radio and the other one is under the passengers seat under the carpet. Check the wiring and connection.

Is your steering wheel straight when your going straight down the road??

The wheel is perfectly straight. Still has the stock alignment so the inner sides of the front tires wear faster. Lol. Ill look into the accelerometers and hope for the best. Another way to describe it would be like when you get on it a little to hard while on a sandy road. The rear tires start to sort of wheel hop due to the tcs. as you can tell, I'm really annoyed by this. lol
