Thats the flatulence relay sensor. When the level of flatulence is to high it automatically signals the windows to roll down

Looks like a wheel speed sensor. Not sure on front or rear.

What do I win?

When Bill Curlee sees this, you will have the answer. I'm thinking crank sensor.

Edit::: My guess is wrong!!!!!!!! I don't think it's on my car.

This is a new one on me.

Does the car have Real Time Damping (RTD)? I vote for RTD sensor, but I have no real clue. (I don’t have RTD on my C5’s)

(Just thought I would get in on the fun of guessing)

the sensor in question is from a 2001 ZO6. It is a remnant of finished clutch repair and engine swap, so for the question where did it come from, I don't have a clue. This is one that truly goes under the header "what the heck is that?

Not a wheel speed sensor as the sensor is part of the wheel bearing. The only thing sticking out of the wheel bearing is a two wire harness with a connector on it. Since it is involved with a clutch repair which includes pulling the transmission it very well could be the Vehicle Speed Sensor from the transmission.

It looks like a wheel speed sensor BUT,,,,,,,,,,,,,it is NOT from a C5 Corvette. Here is what a C5 wheel speed sensor for a C5 looks like.

This is the actual speed sensor:

This is the front wheel JUMPER HARNESS that connects the front wheel sensors to the front main harness.

What you have is not C5.

Is that the one from the rear end? Is there are GM 8 digit on it anywhere?

Dumb question, but does everything on the car work? Maybe it was from another job. I know when I was a tech, I was constantly mixing parts, obviously not on purpose....although...

Good luck,
Cassidy

Since it is a ZO6 part, what does the manual transmission oil temperature sensor look like? Does your trans temp work?

As someone asked, what doesn't work? Have you pulled your codes? Maybe doing so will give a clue?

Been there brother. Ever swapped the BAD part back in instead of the NEW one? Yeah, been there too.

Did a fuel tank once in a Contour and left a $45 pair of Snap On Storx on top of the tank. Job paid $48 to me...would have been two more hours of no-pay work to get them back...took my losses and made $3 for 2 hours work Sometimes you're the hammer, others you're the nail. Glad it all worked out.
