Well I slammed my vette on lowering bolts all around. I live in Michigan. If you put the 2 together you can prolly understand why I am posting this. Its not that I bottom out, although i scrape the air dam, its that on the bad roads we have the car is stiff as a board and rides like complete *** I am wondering if coilovers may be a good solution? I LOVE the lowered look and can deal with it, but my ride sucks. Also, how much will coilovers inprove my ride quality? I'm not looking for performance gains really as the car will rarely be tracked and when it will it will be 1/4 mile, just for ride quality reasons. With that being said, would you say it is a good solution and/or what would you recommend for a brand of coilovers or different solution. Thanks!
I had the same situation as you and installed PFADT coil overs. You will never regret it. Much improved ride on a slammed car! Plus the added benefit of better handling!

Don
So you'd say the ride quality improved greatly or just a little bit? I notice your in Florida so our interpretations of a bad road are probably not very close, lol. Thanks for the response!
Well you have a few different things going on. First the car isn't bottoming but I can pretty much tell you the shocks are. I don't know if you are a good fit with coilovers but a set of Bilstein sport shocks can cure the feeling you have right now. Coilovers offer a stiffer ride, but much more controled. Here is a sales video that I did up the other night.
thanks for the reply, exactly what I was looking for. Could you inform me on how much a set of these shocks would run me? I am wanting to keep my stance but get much better ride quality if possible. Thanks!
Go with the coil overs. I have them and love them. The replacement shocks might improve your ride a bit, but offer no adjustability. The Pfadts have 16 different settings.

for a daily driver that won't see the track, I don't see why I'd need 16 different settings
I think you are just arguing with yourself. They are just telling you you can find one of these settings that work with your car and road conditions so you can drive a little less 'assy' car.
Buying a set of Bilsteins will be much less expensive than buying coilovers. Adjustability might be nice for avid racers, but for street use, I really can't se any advantage unless there is a setting that is superior to that of non-adjustable coilovers. I do like the LGM design, which includes Bilsteins, and I would love to lose some of the inherent side-hopping that is common with leaf spring-equipped cars.
