My Driver Information Center buttons are not working for some reason. They light up, but when i push options, reset, or any of the buttons it does nothing. What could be the problem? Let me know.

There is a small connector on it to the IP Cluster as well as the larger connector on the IP Cluster to the rest of the car. Its possible the button contacts are dirty but that would be the first time I've heard of it.

im new to corvettes... is it easy to remove the gauge cluster and check the connections? Also, if i bought a new cluster would the mileage be messed up or would it be accurate?

Ok, it takes about 15 minutes to get the IP Cluster out of the car. Not hard if you know what to do. As for the mileage, it is stored in the cluster but you don't need a cluster for bad buttons in the DIC Controller. The DIC Controller plugs into the cluster therefore its a seperate item.

Sounds like the connector is loose or disconnected. Remove and inspect.

i removed and inspected... and it appears to be connected properly. Any other ideas to make the buttons work? They seem to light up but when i push them they do nothing.

hmmm....it sounds like a failure of the DIC Controller itself but I hate for you to have to throw money at it. Worse is trying to get the controller apart to test it's internal connections. I think a new one costs like $73 or so...not sure. The problem could also be in the IP Cluster itself. I no longer have the manuals so there's no way I have to get to an internal schematic of it. I guess I'm going to suggest that you buy one but maybe Bill has got a better idea for you.
