How do I get the damned screen off

Playing with a stock MAF and can't seem to spin the screen off. Do I need to cut it, pry it, or what? thanx.

i just simply purchased a GMS MAF, BUT, if it is anything like the screen on the LT1 MAF, there is a big wire retaining clip holding it in. i ended up destroying the screen anyway when i removed it, but, so what!! you'll never use it again. just rip the damn thing out!!

Yep, I just got a screw driver and punched a hole in it, and then just pulled it out. :yesnod: :cheers:

The screen on my Z06 appears to be epoxied in, so I decided it wasn't worth the effort, since there would be a rough edge left anyway.
