Ive had the "ac from all vents" issue for a while. I found that my vacuum line had popped of the back of the intake manifold. I fixed that, but it still isnt operating properly. Im having a hard time believing that happened and some other breakage happened at the same time.....
How can I test the lines to see if they are good? Can I hook up a vacuum pump to the input behind the intake and see if it holds pressure??

Just went through this last night. Air blowing out of all vents, defrost, etc. no matter what mode was selected. Removed the battery and battery tray to find one vacuum line broken. I grabbed the other one, and it cracked in my hand. I cut back the brittle area on both lines, and repaired with 5/32 vacuum line. Works like a champ. The damage may not be obvious looking from the top, because one of the lines has a tendency to chaff on a wire harness......so you'll need to put your hands on it.
I'm going to fix mine here in about 20min, I'm going to do a write up on it as well, or try too. But like Lucky said, you need to remove the battery because you probably have broken/damaged lines in the harness.
