On my CCW 505A's, I usually use Adam's Metal Polish, #1 & #2. I have also used Mother's and Simichrome with good results. I use the Mother's mini power ball with a drill and take my time.
I live in South East CT so my CCW 505a rims catch hell from the road grime and salts. I had to use 600 grit then 800, 1000, 2000 amd then polish. They get clean and they chine right back up!
Your probably dont need all of that but, what works good to remove spots is a product called NEVER DULL. Its in a tin can and its a cotton wadding with chemical on the wadding. It works FANTASTIC. Walmart sells it. Once you clean it with never dull, use semichrome or any aluminum polish to get the shine. Then,,,important step,,,coat the wheels with a WAX. I use carnuba wax. That helps keeps the water off the aluminum and also helps shed the dust.

I have CCW Classics and I've had good luck using the Mother's mini-powerball with the Mother's polish. It surprised me how well it works and on the Classics the powerball will squeeze itself in to the small holes and polish the entire wheel in approximately 5 minutes. It used to take me an hour a wheel, now I do all four in less than a half hour. You just need a cordless drill with good power. I have a Craftsman 19.2v.
Stunning Wheels! However, I was already married to one pain named Lisa Had and will never have another set of bare high polished aluminum wheels although they are gorgeous.
What are you guys, who are using the power ball, doing to get good results. I had one for a while and ended up with tons of micro scratches everywhere.
I do the same as Patches. Powerball, cordless drill, Adams 1 and 2!! I had about 8+ hours in all four of mine last spring! Which is why I am visiting the powdercoater tomorrow!!
