Default something broke!!

I'm posting this for my brother. He had his '99 frc 6 speed vette at the dragstrip last weekend and broke something, he just doesn't know what. The engine runs fine and the speedometer reads as though the car is moving as you shuft in all gears but the car does not move. It doesn't make any grinding noises either at all. Its already got a hardened axle, whatever the popular side is to change and a G-Force transmission. We are thinking its the output shaft that broke clean, thats why there is no noises. Can anyone help us diagnose this so we can fix it. Thanks.

Could be the coupler on the torque tube if no grinding noise. Well you know it's driveline related, so put it on stands and start the teardown.

Since the speedo is run off the sensor on the ring gear, I would think it has to be a clean break of an output shaft as well.

If the speedometer works, the rear end ring gear is turning. Sounds like you broke a rear end out put shaft.

Yep Bill called it. I would suspect he broke the passenger side shaft.
