I tried to search but my knowledge about Corvettes is just so limited that I am afraid I would not know what I was really looking for besides the basics (headers, exhaust, etc.).
I currently have an 00 Coupe that has about 15K miles on it. It is a car for fun as my Daily Driver is a 335i coupe that is tuned, downpipes, exhaust, and am looking to upgrade turbos on it........as you may know a BMW and a Corvette are two totally different beasts. I figured my BMW was on hold waiting for upgraded turbos so why not tweak the corvette.
Finally, my question......what can I do to get maximum hp for the least cost? Nitrous scares me......I do appreciate the help and I know I can hit the search button because I did and came up with way too many hits that I know nothing about. Note: I live about 5100 feet above sea level if that is relevant as I know it was with my BMW and its turbos.
Also, I will not work on this car I will take it somewhere but I at least want to know what I am talking about.
Thank you for your help!
EDIT: Sorry if this is the incorrect section to post

It all depends on what you are looking to have the car accomplish. If you are just looking to enhance street performance, you would start by improving air intake (Vararam, etc), exhaust (headers, X-pipe, better catback mufflers), and a tune. Tunes can be professionaly done, or you can buy handheld tuner (Diablo Predator, etc).
You can go from there to better heads/cam, different rearend ratio, supercharing, turbocharging, etc..
It all depends on what you are looking for, and how much money you want to spend. Mike

Air intake and exhaust (includes quality headers) are the two big bolt-on areas to focus on initially, UNLESS you want to spend $ for other things like Mike says.
BTW, forget the (marketing) term "Cold Air Intake" (CAI) when air intake/filter shopping. It's the much lower restriction aspect of these items that give you the most power increase. The whole "cold air" thing is really secondary on a street driven non-race car. "Cold" (er) air does help, but it's really the low restriction that gives you the most result percentage-wise, for the money spent. There are a number of good reputable brands out there.
BTW, I would recommend a professional tune vs a handheld. The money is not much different overall.

Reason: typo - ugh!
While others do have an excellent reputation, I can only speak from my personal experience with A&A Corvette. Call Andy and talk with him about your goals. A&A's expertise and customer service is just top notch in every way!
Just bolt on a supercharger and call it a day. You can get screamin deals right now. You'll get a dramatic improvement in performance.
With OUT A DOUBT, a supercharger is what you want! The STS twin turbo kit was around 9K and the APS from what I remember was a bit more!
I think you can get into an ECS Supercharger kit for around 6K (dont quote me on that) Call Doug or Chris at ECS for a better price quote!!
Its been a long while since I looked at prices for that stuff.
With added HP/TQ, you will need to up-grade other things (clutch or automatic tranny, Differential output shafts. So keep your wallet OPEN!
I went heads and cam and my current level is 450 RWHP but,,thats the hard way.
Ya i'm already around 2500 over what i thought i needed when i went supercharger and still don't have tires lol - so plan to spend a lil more then expected
Thanks everyone! I have a good idea of what to do now.
I do appreciate all the help. You all are 100% nicer than over on the bmw forums.......I wonder why LOL!!!!
I got a PM and someone wanted to know what my BMW was pushing and if I have any times on it. It is a bit over 400whp and the best time is high 12's at my elevation. That was scary though as I thought for sure I nuked a turbo. I pushed my car way too hard
I am looking to do a 10sec car or 11 at my elevation which is why I thought hey why not mess with the vette!!!!

Thanks again I do appreciate it.
Leave the Bimmer alone in my opinion and focus on the vette (if your BMW is still within factory warr I wouldn't screw with it quite yet). If you are looking for a 10 second ride be prepared to open your wallet wide and ensure you do things right and safely. To get the power aspirations you desire you will have to go to F/I to do this without building a crazy a** motor. Andy's kit as well as ECS are both strong options but as mentioned be prepared to support the rest of the car so it can handle the power otherwise you will spend more time fixing broken parts than driving the car. Good luck.
