so for the last month ive been trying to pin point the problem. i keep getting these two codes. C1226 LF Excessive Wheel Speed Variation C1233 RF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
every time i started the car and drove off the ABS pump will go on and ill get TC,AH,ABS service message.
i checked the plug connections on the bearings but they look ok to me. now everytime i turn the car on i get the TC,AH,ABS message right away!!
does this sound like its the bearings? i replaced them late last year
There's a connection at the wheel and another clipped to the cradle. Check both connections. When I broke my serpentine belt, it whipped through the harness going to the passenger side and caused me the same problem as you're having. I repaired the wiring and all is good now.

Also, check the electrical sticky, and follow the instructions on cleaning ground points. Pretty common to have some corrosion even thought they look OK.
I had a 1233 right after I bought my car. Turned out the harness just needed to be cleaned up. I don't know about the other code, but it could be related the 1233. (Though the wheel speed sensors do go out from time to time)
Pull both harnesses, clean both ends, smear a little silicone grease on them, plug them back up and clear the codes.
When you see just how exposed those particular harnesses are, it'll be no wonder to you how they get crudded up.
Take a VERY VERY close look at the female oins in the jumper harness and on the main harness connector on the K frame. If the female pins are spring and the small toung inside the pin is making POOR connection with the MALE PIN, you will see this problem. Find a MALE PIN of the correct measurements and insert it into the female pins. If you get little or no resistance /grip on the male pin, youve found the issue.
If you take your car into the dealer for this issue, they will first replace the front jumper harnesses and themn the wheel bearings. (Its a real money maker for them!)
I have NEVER in my 11 years of owning and working on C5s seen a wheel speed sensor on a wheel bearing (front or rear) fail. (other than damage from abuse or an accident where the pigtail or jumper harness get ripped out.) Those things are bullet proof! So, if you can read resistance on the sensor and spin the wheel and read AC millivolts when the wheel is spun, its GOOD!!
