The Z06 has 48,000 miles on it not driven real hard, I get that out of my 96LT4 on the track so the Z is babied a little.
I am putting Comp. Cams #2961816 Springs in it FYI still have not had time to get back to work on it but I do appreaciate all of the help.
Why'd you pick that spring? Did Comp help to choose it?
My Son has a friend that is GM of a chain of Speed Shops, they mostly work on C 5's & C6's this is the one that he recomended. He is a gear head also not just an educated GM he has been working on Chevy's since he was around 14 with my Son they are now 34 years old so I trust what he tells me. I am sure there are some springs that are just as good or better, what can I say?
Well I guess my answer was not completly correct then. That's still a lot of trouble when all you have to do is screw the hose it the spark plug hole and attach the air hose. No helpers are needed and no need to have straws, sticks, chalk, etc. We never worry about trying to get it on TDC to change valve springs.
WillyFastZ,
I know folks that change them in the same manner that you use. If you feel confident in changing them that way and you save yourself time then that's a good way for you to do them. When someone who has never done it before ask how, they normally are not worried about saving time, but want the safest way to do it. That is the only reason for recommending the two techniques in the earlier post.

Regards,
No problem, I guess I just prefer the air method and fill that with a good air source it's as safe as any other method. It also gives you a chance to check for leaking valves and rings.
