I am now going to buy my Corsa's but would like to know if someone in the MD area that I can see and hear you C5 before I buy them to hear the two different sounds. Also what is and how does the X pipe work? Yes or No on that. Thanks.
Just from my research I have decided that I will do the Corsa Touring because I will be doing headers and other mods to the exhaust. From what i gathered the Indy's may be too loud with headers. I personally like loud but this is our date car and my wife would be bothered if it got too loud. I like the idea of the exotic sound too, I think it would produce some fun looks on people faces to hear a Vette sound exotic. jmho
I have the touring. They are quiet until you get on it. I would not consider them loud from inside, but the sound is great (and loud) from outside the vette. I chose the tourings because I am planning on heads/cam soon and don't want the car to be obnoxious. Currently they are almost too quiet for my tastes, even with the longtubes. Since you don't plan on modding much, I would opt for the indy's.
Indy's get my vote for I heard them both... They are quite when cruising, no interior resonance, and say "get out of my way" at WOT.... High quality no matter which you choose. :yesnod:

After you install, please post your impressions. My wife thinks the stock is too quiet, but we don't want obnoxious. She liked the Flowmaster Force II system we had on the 90.
both the touring and Indy are loud. At times they are too loud. Click on the link on my sig (whenever it is working again) and hear my Touring, TPIS, X-pipe setup scream by at over 100 MPH!! I tell you that you can hear this exhaust from a very long ways away.
I would get the Corsa Indy then if no other big mods are planned. I would caution you if you planned on heads/cam since it will double in the "loudness" factor  I had the Indys and then had the head/cam/headers/TC done and it was too LOUD for me. I switched to the Touring and the sound is awesome :D
From: My barber didn't know when to quit... Do you?

What do you think was the main factor that made them so much louder? The heads, the cam, or the headers?
I just installed the Corsa Indy system with Pro tips and Corsa x-pipe on my 99 6 speed convertible. I live in Severna Park, not far from you, and you're welcome to look at and listen to my exhaust. If you haven't already, you might want to check out the Corsa website (WWW.CORSAPERF.COM). They discuss the technical aspects of the x-pipe, as well as provide information about their other products.
Initially, I installed the Indy system without the x-pipe. The idle had the typical motorboat gurgling sound and when letting off the throttle there was a lot of popping. On the other hand, when I got on it, it had a great raw unrestricted sound. Personally, I didn't care for the motorboat idle and popping on deceleration, and to be honest, for me it was just a little to loud at full throttle. I decided to install the Corsa x-pipe, and I'm glad I did. The x-pipe eliminates the motorboat idle sound and got rid of about 70% of the popping on deceleration. It isn't quite as loud when accelerating either. I guess I would describe it as a cleaner sound. Without the x-pipe, I would seriously have considered switching to the Touring system. I'm glad I tried the x-pipe, I love the sound of the Indy system and x-pipe together. There are a lot of folks who would disagree with my observations, and that's cool, because exhaust systems are a personal thing. As you've already figured out, it's best to listen to them in person.
I'm certainly not an expert, but x-pipes equalize the exhaust pulses/pressures in each pipe of a dual exhaust system, which is supposed to give you a couple extra horsepower, and as far as C-5s go, eliminates the motorboat idle and reduces popping on deceleration. The x-pipe actually connects each pipe of the dual exhaust system together, that's how things are equalized. They are used extensively on race cars (NASCAR, TRANS-AM, etc.) as well as street cars and have been around in one form or another for many years.
If you want to get together or you have other questions, email me.
I have the Indy's and I think they sound great - not too loud at WOT. The only other mods I have are a new intake (Vortex Rammer, Power Duct, Maf, Power Coupler, coolant bypass, and 178 degree thermostsat).

HI, I ran the touring for 8 months and I been running the indy's for about 3 weeks. I must say I like the indy's much more. I really can't tell much difference between the two systems inside the car. At WOT you will notice the indy's are a LITTLE louder.... under 2500 rpm, just going down the highway.. you really can't hear either inside the car. However outside the car is were you will find all the sound. Everyone and their mother will hear you with the indy's and the touring are a little softer and not as deep. I would go with indy system not the tourings.. The tourings always seemed to be lacking something. Go with the indy's you won't be sorry.
If you are willing to drive about an hour. We are having a corvetteforum.com dinner in our area. NOVA people are going out for Mexican this Tuesday (feb 5th)... You can come by and hear my setup... You are about 55 minutes to 1 hour from the location.. Let me know.

EDIT: I don't have an x-pipe on my car. I have heard cars with the X-pipe and it takes away that poping sound that I like. U should drive out to mexican night and take a look at the cars. I think there will be an indy w/x-pipe car there. Not sure. But you can atleast hear my car with NO x-pipe and indy's
