KCvetteowner,

Was there any mention of other cam system changes other then the camshaft?

Thanks for the info,

No, nothing else mentioned about the camshaft or any spring/pushrod upgrades. The article focused on the supercharger/intake and keeping it cool. The article hinted there would be more information on Mallett's website including upgrades you could piece together, I don't see anything on their site yet...

I built my engine for that blower after toasting mine, but didn't want to wait. Kenny Duttweiler built a 434 with the same MP2300 blower on top and made 950hp on comparable boost to the Mallett package. I have no regrets going Centri though.

One word.....Lingenfelter...

You call....they ask "how fast you wanna go, how much money you got?"

http://www.lingenfelter.com/engine-p...-turbo-ls1-zo6

And I would consider them to be overpriced....but I think the complete package @ 40K would still be cheaper than a complete engine @ 20k plus driveline...@ who knows how much...then installation.

By now they just ask:
"What's your budget?" Then tell you how fast you are going to go followed by:
"Now, if you had X$$ more in your budget we could make you go XX faster"

You can get a 402 with top of the line heads for half the price of a LS9.

That ~$20k figure includes the blower and a bunch of other stuff. I wonder if Chevy will release the bare Ls9 block though.

I thought GM wasn't going to offer the LS9 as a separately purchaseable item. Last I looked, that was the case, it may have changed.

So isn't the LS9 just an LS3 with an Eaton on top? I don't buy the whole extras it comes with. Sounds like justification for the price.

8k and out the door from ECS and you have 550 RWHP. That's the route I'm going.

If you're into performance and saving $, you should look into the A&A system. They use better parts for less $$. 550rwhp will be easily achieved with their entry level system too.

I'm sure you can make it work. I say go ahead and install one and take lots of pics of your car during the process.

lingenfelter will Build and Install a N/A LS7 with 530 RWHP for around $20K. Why bother with a LS9?

That's a pricey upgrade, for the price you could build a motor and throw your own blower on it.
